For the first week of March, U2 will perform every night on the late night chat show, CBS said on Thursday. It’s the first time a musical act has been booked for an entire week on the show.
U2 starts the weeklong gig Monday, March 2, and ends it the following Friday. During the week on March 3 the band and its label, Interscope Records, will release the album "No Line on the Horizon."

Madonna and Moore Teaming Up Again for Oscars
Los Angeles (E! Online) Move over, Vanity Fair.
Madonna and Demi Moore are on their way of becoming the new queens of Oscar night.
I just got word that the two Hollywood sirens will, as they did last year, cohost a party with Guy Oseary at Oseary’s L.A. area home after this year’s awards ceremony on Feb. 22.
Among the guests at last year’s soiree were Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Cameron Diaz, Orlando Bloom and even Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish, who made their way there after hosting their annual AIDS fundraiser.
Madonna and Moore’s guest list will again be invite only. Hopefully, Moore and hubby Ashton Kut...
India.Arie refreshes her soul on new CD
NEW YORK When India.Arie debuted in 2001 with "Acoustic Soul," a CD brimming with messages about self-worth, inner-beauty and positivity, she was seen by many as a strong, self-assured musician who was impervious to the more vain and superficial pitfalls of celebrity.

The 33-year-old singer says people misinterpreted her image as a "role model" and she struggled with her own insecurities.
She’s taking a new approach with her fourth studio CD, "Testimony, Vol. 2: Love & Politics," released this week.
The Grammy-winner hopes to expand outside the R&B/soul genre to a more world music sound with her new disc. She traveled alone to Hawaii for 10 days to refresh ...
Beyonce, Hudson win Image Awards
LOS ANGELES It was a dreamy night for a couple of "Dreamgirls." Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson both glided away with trophies Thursday and wowed the audience with individual performances during the 40th annual NAACP Image Awards.
Beyonce, who opened the show with a wind-swept rendition of her song "Halo," won the female artist category while Hudson, who performed "The Impossible Dream" for President’s Award recipient Muhammad Ali, picked up the new artist award. They costarred in the 2006 film "Dreamgirls."
"This is where we come from," Hudson said, accepting the trophy. "So it’s always an honor to come home and feel welcome and to feel the love. I really cher...
Chris Brown Rejected by Radio; Rihanna Cancels on Jakarta
Los Angeles (E! Online) Chris Brown has been canceled, while Rihanna has canceled once again.
Brown, who’s under investigation for allegedly beating his "Umbrella" singer girlfriend, has been completely nixed by a Cleveland radio station. WAKS "Kiss" FM 96.5 has dropped "Forever," "Kiss Kiss" and all other tracks by the 19-year-old R&B star from its on-air playlist.
"After the alleged incident, the phones exploded," evening host Java Joel said on the channel’s website. "It’s all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at his alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown...
